ORDINARY -- This particular song was based on certain experiences in my life where people were saying so many good things about me that I felt that they weren't seeing me as a real person.
AUTOBAHN OF LOVE -- I was watching either the 2008 Summer Olympics or the Wyndham Championship when I saw a avdertising banner for Volkswagen where I saw the word "autobahn," which is what they call freeways in Germany. That ad gave me an idea to write a song around the word that was lyrically and title-wise on the same page as Aretha Franklin's hit "Freeway Of Love."
UNSOLICITED -- We as musicians have to face the agony of accepting unwanted criricism just because of our God-given talent. That's what this song is all about, and the lyrics speak for themselves.
SABRINA -- Written about my crush on my best friend, Sabrina Freitas, whos is currently engaged to Scott, her boyfriend of 6 years.
SHUT OFF -- This was co-written with two friends of mine from GTCC, William Trice of the Solcet Fre Project and Danny Smith. Danny wrote the first verse about "the whole world pressing down on me," Trice added the second one about getting drunk with his "li' cutie," and I wrote the final verse about "finding love in all the wrong places" and what ended up being the chorus. The part about "being blinded by the light at the bottom of the bottle" was not my idea, however. It was that of Danny and Trice because they wrote that for me to sing, but the song remains one of my favourites that I either wrote or co-write.
MARY JANE -- Just an excuse for me to write a cute love song. LOL
